Aaron Winkler: Principal
Aaron got his start in live event production at Nightclub 9:30 in
Washington DC as a stagehand. After two months, he lit his first show,
Matisyahu on Christmas Day 2005. 3 months later, when other members of
the lighting staff left to go out on tour, Aaron was given the
opportunity to light most of the shows at the 9:30 Club. www.930.com
After a year at the 9:30 lighting such acts as Macy Gray, The
Decembrists, POD, Donovan, and many others, as well as technically
assisting visiting LDs from the Black Crowes, Justin Timberlake, The
Disco Biscuts and other successful national acts, Aaron began
designing lighting systems of his own.
The Arlington Drafthouse and Cinema, breaking out as a local music
venue in the DC area, hired All Night Lights to design and install a
Rock n' Roll lighting system that could double for comedy acts,
children's shows, and Jazz ensembles. www.arlingtondrafthouse.com.
Also for the last two years, All Night Lights has produced lighting
for Desert Rocks, an annual music festival held in Moab, Utah. It
features 3 days and nights of music from bluegrass to jam to rock.
